Hillsboro ISD and First Financial Group of America would like to take this opportunity to present to you the benefit information for the 2011/2012 plan year. This informational website has been created to bring forth a brief overview of your benefit choices as well as offer you a reference guide when questions arise regarding your insurance plans.

Important Information for 2011

  1. The plan year for Hillsboro ISD is September 1, 2011 – August 31, 2012
  2. Open Enrollment is scheduled for March 21 – March 25, 2011.
  3. Metlife will be the new dental provider for HISD employees and their families effective September 1, 2011.  Existing Dental Select participants will need to enroll in the new dental plan to have this coverage for the 2011 – 2012 school year.
  4. The annual maximum for Medical Reimbursement is $3,600 ($300 per month). 
  5. Starting January 1st, 2011, all Over-the-Counter items eligible for reimbursement must be accompanied by a doctor’s prescription and reimbursement request claim form. OCT Claims may no longer be purchased using the FFA Benefits Debit Card. Click Here for more information regarding this change.
  6.  The annual maximum for Dependent Care Reimbursement is $5,000 ($416.66 per month).
  7. There will be a slight rate increase on the Dental Select dental plan for the 2010/2011 plan year.
  8. The annual maximum contribution amount for 403(b)’s for 2010 is $16,500. All HISD employees are eligible to participate in and make contributions to a 403b. Contact your 403(b) Account Representative or contact First Financial’s Retirement Services Department with questions regarding your account or how to setup an account.
